The Build
Overview
Benefitting from a few key upgrades to help it produce an estimated 350hp, this one-owner Golf SportWagen features 4motion all-wheel drive to help extend the driving season. A turbocharger intended for a Golf R has been fitted for more boost, and a capable ECS Tuning intercooler keeps charge temperatures down. An APR stage 3 ECU tune has been employed to tie it all together, and a beefier clutch puts the power down reliably. We have always felt this was a hidden gem in VW’s lineup, and this example is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
