The Build
Overview
A more capable turbo and a generous list of supporting upgrades help bring this GTI to the next level on the backroads. An upgraded intake and larger injectors feed the motor with the air and fuel it craves, and the exhaust has been upsized to reduce pumping losses and unlock more power. A beefier clutch helps put the power down, and the transmission was recently replaced for peace of mind. Golf R brake calipers have been employed up front to keep braking consistent in demanding conditions.
