Overview
Benefitting from a bored 3.8L engine with sleeved cylinders and forged internals, this Amethyst Metallic 987 Cayman checks all the right boxes. A GT3 throttle body works with a rare OEM valved exhaust and an ECU tune to extract more power. Bilstein B8 dampers and H&R springs improve handling, and a beefier clutch helps put the power down reliably. While it has logged some miles, all of the major issues including bore scoring and the IMS bearing issues have already been addressed, and taking the fresh paint and maintenance work into account, this looks to be one of the best sorted 987’s we have seen in some time.
