The Build
Overview
This Paint to Sample Racing Green 987 Cayman S has a $25k 3.8L engine build and $20k in additional upgrades to bring it to the next level. The motor was built to last with steel sleeves, forged pistons, APR crank hardware, and Carrillo rods, and an LN Engineering IMS bearing has been fitted for peace of mind. An IPD plenum, GT3 throttle body, and Soul Engineering exhaust help it breathe better while providing a more appropriate soundtrack, while a lightweight flywheel reduces parasitic losses and lets the motor spin up more freely. This example has been completely gone through including a full respray, and we are confident that it would be a blast to drive on some of the best roads we know about.
