1979 Porsche 911 'Track Car'

Listed for $59,500Sold
1979 Porsche 911 'Track Car'

Overview

Built for track duty, this 911 is motivated by a 3.6L air-cooled motor out of a newer 993. Track times require more than just horsepower, so this example includes a lighter flywheel, a beefier clutch to deliver the power reliably, bigger brakes out of a 930 Turbo, and Elephant coilovers. On the safety side, a full roll cage has been fitted along with a fire suppression system and Momo racing seats round out the package. We are particularly fond of the Pink Pig livery, which is a nod to the 1971 Porsche 917/20 entered at Le Mans.
