2017 VW Golf R
The Build
While it may look mostly stock from the outside, this Golf R is producing significantly more grunt thanks to some worthy upgrades. A stage three clutch puts down the added power reliably, and a short throw shifter makes rowing through the gears that much more enjoyable. We have always appreciated the restrained approach of the design of the Golf R, which is a solid performer without shouting about it. This example looks to be in particularly good shape and should be a blast to drive given the upgrades.
