The Build
Overview
Sporting a hand-built metal wide body and a proper S54 engine out of an E46 M3, this E46 ‘M3’ Touring has seen over $70k invested plus hundreds of hours of labor, and the result speaks for itself. The motor was fully refreshed, and it has retained all-wheel drive while leveraging a beefier 420G transmission, a 330i transfer case, and 3.91 differentials out of a X3. The suspension was completely refreshed with KW V1 coilovers, and the rear subframe was reinforced to accommodate the UCC rear sway bar to help keep it flatter in the corners. We have seen our share of M3 touring conversions over the years, but this looks to be one of the best executions we have ever seen with all the details considered and properly addressed, and we really hope it ends up with a deserving driver in our community who will take it on unforgettable adventures on the backroads.
